Entrance Description

A scream followed immediately by machine-gun percussion of Skylar Grey’s “Wreak Havoc” shocks the arena, gold gerb-mine pyro erupting from the stage in punctuation as the fans rise to their feet in excitement. Nikki Caldwell walks onto the stage under a burst of green and red lights.

Her face is streaked with black warpaint, the large scale-armor of Sinnocence’s heirloom black-and-red Doom Jacket juts from her shoulders. She pauses at the top of the ramp with her feet braced and her arms slightly spread at her sides, eyes flickering over the crowd and then focusing intensely on the ring.

Nikki runs down the ring and three quarters of the way around it, sliding into the ring and rolling to her feet in one motion. She steps up on the bottom and center ropes, raising one fist and yelling out a warcry. The fans answer her back with a cheer of their own, and after letting them have their due, she steps down and sheds her jacket to prepare for the fight.

Nikki Caldwell came to the EWA in a cloud of mystery– trained by a school no one had heard of, though the wrestlers involved were all steady indie presences who were phenomenal in their own specialty. EWA decided to give Nikki a chance, and she came in full blast, winning the very first match of her career.

It wasn’t clear to audiences where or why the young woman would know the legendary Sinnocence, but somehow she did. Not only moving into Sinn’s house– she joined the matriarch’s son Josh and Sahara’s brother Mojave in a trios team. And, as soon became public knowledge, the trios team was ménage à trois in the older sense of the word– three people cohabitating with a romantic, sexual bond. As a team in the ring, they were first known as MoCaJo before rebranding themselves as Cerberus. At the time, Josh and Moe held the tag team titles, and pronounced Nikki a dual champion in their eyes. Stacy Vandervort must have seen something she liked in that proclamation, because she made it official– in effect, Cerberus had reformed the rules to suit them. In the end, it didn’t just suit them, as the current incarnation of Vice Squad (soon rebranding themselves as Erinyes) took the titles.

Fate wasn’t done damning them yet, oh no. Their mentor Sinnocence had gone to war against another of her proteges, Moe’s older sister Sahara, and landed herself in the hospital with a dire outlook. This was quick on the heels from Sahara sending Sinn’s son Josh to the hospital from a severe beating. It was a last straw for Nikki, who felt she owed Sinn a debt of gratitude for helping her onto the path to discover who she really is. More than that? She loved the woman like a mother figure.

Before the shuttering of EWA, Nikki was on a path to meet Sahara in the ring, having to defeat both her lovers and Pillar of Hate, Cal Rayner. Only time will tell if she’ll get the bout she’s burning inside to have.
